Dallas Complete Streets Visual Essay Contest 2011 / Knox Street, Dallas

A glimpse into the process of developing ideas for streetscape improvements at Knox Street and Cole Avenue in Dallas, Texas. Going from analog hand drawings to state-of-the-art digital modeling and painting, we use many different tools to express our design concepts for what we'd like to see happen along the Knox Street Corridor. Using the Dallas Complete Streets goals as our template, we've added intermodal transportation, pavement upgrades, lighting and traffic infrastructure improvements, planter boxes for colorful foliage, and pedestrian friendly amenities to the existing right-of-way.
